Getting Ready for Minnesota Winter
As we prepare to host your winter getaway in Minnesota, life at Wildwood Resort has gotten pretty quiet! The deer hunters have come and gone, the docks are out of the lake and the boats have been put to bed for winter. Since we pulled the docks out of the lake the shoreline looks very lonely. However, it feels good to be ready for the Minnesota winter season and it feels REALLY good to take a rest after a busy season! The fall has been a strangely warm one but we have appreciated good weather since it made readying the resort for winter so much easier. Our June rainfall was crazy but after the end of that month we received very little moisture. The lake is as low today as it was last fall so we are hoping for lots of snow this winter to make up the deficit. But before the snow we need cold temps to make good ice. So…if you’re including Wildwood in your prayers tonight we are requesting cold weather, good ice and then lots of snow…in that order. 😉
