Located in Marcell, Minnesota (about 20 miles north of Wildwood on Hwy 38) the Edge of the Wilderness Discovery Center is a visitor & environmental education center. It is home to a variety of displays & exhibits about the Edge of the Wilderness National Scenic Byway and the surrounding area. It includes a gift shop, and an environmental education room, and best of all it offers a FREE naturalist program throughout the summer. The property also has an amphitheater, walking trail and a fishing pier. Summer hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 7 days a week. The Center is located at 49554 State Highway 38, Marcell, MN 56657.
